Hi Michael,

Thank you for taking the time to read my work and thank you for sharing your thoughts. Blockchain and decentralization is still as you rightly point out, very much in its infancy. Democracy, as well as decentralization, which is the cornerstone of the blockchain will take time and engagement for it to take off, especially because it will require the investment not so much of money, but of purpose, by individuals.

I already sense a changing wave. The reticence of voters (especially young voters and Millennials) to come out to vote in 2016 led to some pretty serious consequences, which many young people are now starting to feel the effects of all across America. Everywhere I go, from the urban centers to even the most rural parts of anytown USA, the sense of responsibility if nothing else is increasing — at its core, nothing less than a fight for the ideological soul of America. And this battle will not be won or lost in the internet forums and message boards of cyberspace, but in the good ole’fashioned way this country was built — by organizing, by picketing and by making a stand.

Asia is known for its centralized, patriarchal and hierarchical societies, this will take centuries to purge, if at all.

Decentralization is merely technology, which is agnostic. But with the youth of America galvanized to decentralize power and influence, I believe that America has a chance to take the lead in forging a decentralized future.

God bless this land.
