Dear Ross,

Thank you for reading my work and thank you for your contribution to the discussion. I could not have expressed it better myself.

Regardless of one’s views towards cryptocurrencies, the fact remains (as you rightly point out), cryptocurrencies represent choice and therein, freedom.

Freedom is that most inalienable facets of being human. I personally know many individuals from countries with oppressive regimes who despite their personal wealth, still aspire to the dream that is America because of what it represents — freedom.

And while the United States may represent freedom in so many different aspects, economic freedom — the freedom from poverty is still something that continues to elude a multitude of Americans and people across the world.

If the world is to be a sustainable ship that we continue to live on together, then economic freedom is not just aspirational, it is a matter of our very survival.

As you rightly point out, it is impossible to say if Bitcoin is that silver bullet, but it’s a start and at the very least, it has opened the Pandora’s Box so that we can keep on keeping on.

As always, your insight and opinions are very much appreciated.

Yours,

Patrick
